The Ultimate Couple

Rosie and Kachi emerged the ultimate couple, and it was really a tough battle between Roksie and Iykeresa’s fans. For the most part of the show, everyone expected Iykeresa to win, but Roksie’s fans didn’t come to play. Iykeresa were so sure they had this win in the bag, they lost their composure for some minutes when Roksie was announced Ultimate Couple. Good thing they are going home with three hundred thousand naira too.

Roksie’s love story.

Unlike Iykeresa who started professing love to each other forty eight hours into the show, Rosie and Kachi had their ups and down and it’s somehow a miracle that they ended up together.

The Ultimate Prize

Kachi and Rosie’s ultimate prize should be each other’s ultimate prize, but I’m not going to act like the money and other gifts aren’t important as well. To start with, they got a five million naira cash gift on the stage. Kachi was made to commit to Rosie, if he stays true to this commitment and make a proposal ninety days from now, they will be getting a house, and a lavish traditional marriage worth ten million naira. Well, he proposed to Rosie and she said yes!

You can see that Rosie and Kachi (Roksie), winners of the 2020 Ultimate Love reality show are not here to play. They are definitely collecting their house and finessing a traditional wedding out of the producers. I have to stan.

Nkechi and Jerry

These two were so aesthetically pleasing. Whew! Jerry came in some days after the show started, which affected his 鈥済ame鈥� and limited his resources. Even before he started having a conversation with Nkechi, we already picked their wedding date. For reasons best known to her, she chose Jay and that made her lose some of her fans. Must be stressful being a fine girl, because Nkechi had too many men on her case.

Sylvia and Iyke

These two met at the audition and planned to be a couple if they both made it into the house. Unfortunately, Sylvia also came in late, like Jerry. Sylvia thought it was okay to respect Iyke鈥檚 relationship with Theresa, instead of going for her man and giving us drama. Clearly, she learnt nothing from PreshDavid. Iyke was uncomfortable for a minute, but best believe we might have a Sylvia and Iyke ship, if Sylvia decided to pull a Presh on Iykeresa. 

Louis and Theresa

These two came in together, unlike others. Theresa was interested in both Iyke and Louis, but Louis wasn鈥檛 putting in as much effort, and Iyke wasn鈥檛 giving her breathing space. Home girl probably pitched her tent with Iyke because she knew her chances of winning is higher with Iyke, seeing how laid-back Louis was in the Love Pad. 

It’s almost easy to guess who Ultimate Love’s Ultimate Couple will be. Not because they are exactly the most genuine couple but because some factors are working in their favour, and voters are easily swayed by some of these factors. The game remains the game.

Here is how we’re ranking the , according to how close they are to the prize.

In this life ehn, just be a light skinned pretty woman. Rosie started gaining fans even before the show started because of her fine girl privilege. She got the “premium babe” tag immediately she was introduced to the audience, and people started wondering if she’d find her spec in the house. David buttered her bread by leaving her on the “altar” for Presh. Of course she’s quite overrated, but after coming tops at least twice, her fans are ready to crown her and Kachi Ultimate Love’s ultimate couple, even though half of them don’t care about that relationship, they are more interested in the bragging rights. Rosie’s back definitely hurts from carrying this relationship for weeks.

Iyke and Theresa

They are the youngest couple in the house, and majority of the viewers can relate to them, while others think they are too young for marriage. Iyke says all the right things viewers like to hear, even though he probably doesn’t mean half of it. They are both very conscious of viewers perception of them, which is now working for and against them.

Bolanle and Arnold

The only reason why these two are even still in the house is because Nigerians love women who are quick to do “Yes Sir Yes Sir” to men who aren’t deserving. After everything Arnold has done to Bolanle in that house to her face and behind her, they keep voting for them, and they always make top three. Abeg we need to dismantle the patriarchy, to keep Bolar’s fans far away from reality TV and far away from our society, because I really can’t stand slavery.

Chiddy Bankz and Sylvia

The two things that are working in their favour, Sylvia especially, is because she’s a very sweet girl that radiates so much positive vibes, even when she was going through the most. She was never involved in anything malicious, which made her an instant sweetheart to many. Secondly, the way Jerry treated her contributed to her long stay in the Love Pad. She gathered pity votes, while Jerry gathered “go-fuck-yourselves” votes. The game is the game.

Chris and ChrisVille

See, I don’t even know who their votes are, especially because ChrisVille is one annoying person. Chris was without man in the house for like two weeks, and she handled it pretty well. She probably gathered some “I love strong and independent women” fans, but I don’t think they are enough to crown them the Ultimate Couple.

Everything that happened on Ultimate Love Day 46 – Meet Ultimate Love The Finalists!

The highlight of Day 46 is ObiEbi and PreshDavid leaving the Love Pad. That was the first double eviction of the season and nobody saw it coming.

The show is about to end and now we know the Ultimate love finalists. Here’s a quick run down of the last five couples journey in the Love Pad.

Rosie and Kachi that were each other’s first choice but had eyes for others:

Rosie gathered majority of her fans even before the show began, because pretty-light-skinned-girl privilege is a thing. Rosie and Kachi connected pretty well at their speed date until they linked up with other love guests and became confused. They ended up together again out of fate, and even though the relationship was toxic at first, they’ve allegedly developed feelings for each other. Rosie especially likes how dedicated and patient Kachi has been through thick and thin. If they win, I’m almost certain they are going to get married.

Iyke that grabbed Theresa from day one because of her age:

Until Sylvia came in, Theresa was the only one Iyke felt he could couple up with, seeing as the other babes in the Love Pad were quite older than him. Theresa liked him, but liked Louis even more, but when it came down to making a choice, she chose Iyke. Now, we have them serving young love goals with zero stress since they became a couple.

Chiddy Bankz, the answer to Sylvia’s prayer:

Sylvia came in a week late, leaving her with no choice but to work with Jerry, who unfortunately didn’t like her. She literally kept begging for love and attention until Chiddy came in and they became a couple. If sweetness and positive vibes were a person, that’d be Sylvia. Chiddy has been the direct opposite of what Jerry was to her.

Arnold is still here, working hard with his “task”.

Bear with me guys, but I’m yet to recover from Arnold calling Bolanle a task. Not to be dramatic, but this is more than enough reason for Bolanle to dump his ass after the show. Bolanle is very much into him but the feeling is not mutual. Maybe she’s carrying on with him for the sake of staying long in the Love Pad, or she’s just blind to how uninterested he is in dating her, we’ll find out shortly.

Is Chris’ patient dog eating the fattest bone (ChrisVille)?

Remember Chris was without a partner for two weeks after everyone got coupled up? They coupled up of necessity and they’ve settled into that couple life pretty well. At least, ChrisVille no longer says she reminds him of his mother. Small win. Just like Arnold, he’s not exactly into Chris and more interested in the fame and platform, but my good sis is now in love.

As the show steadily comes to an end, no thanks to , we can’t wait to see who will this.

The show is coming to an end a week earlier than planned, no thanks to . Two Ultimate Love couples might be going home later today, so the karaoke that happened in the house on Day 45 might just be THEIR send forth party.

Eleven couples have been trimmed down to seven, so let’s take a look at the Ultimate Love couples that might take their relationship beyond this show and IG live.

Iykeresa: Iyke made it known from day one that he had eyes for just one person in that house – Theresa. That has not changed yet. We hope it doesn’t, because their families are equally invested in that relationship. 聽Iyke鈥檚 mother is not even playing. She already gave her daughter-in-law to be a nickname – Agbani.

Their relationship in the house has also been quite smooth. They talk a lot about life after the Love Pad, including marriage and prenup.

Chivia: Leg rub today, back rub tomorrow, omo Jaiye Jaiye. There was a time Sylvia was begging to be loved by Jerry, but he couldn鈥檛 be bothered. God answered her prayer by sending Chiddy Bankz her way, and that one is about to finish her with love,聽affection and attention.

Sylvia clearly came to this life to flex, and Chiddy has proven to be more than capable.聽We hope it remains so after the show.

RoKsie – This ship started rocky, but Aunty’s hardwork and patience is why they’re on this list today. We might not know what Kachi does for a living aside his fade cream business, but those two have been exchanging saliva, talking about living together after the show and Kachi resuming duty as step daddy to Rosie鈥檚 kid(s). 

PreshDavid: These two chose each other against all odds. They already planned to be each other鈥檚 partner before they entered the Love Pad.

This didn鈥檛 stop the relationship from having its share of problems. Presh was initially forming hard girl, while David was also forming 鈥淚鈥檓 the man in the relationship鈥�, but they after several fights and arguments, they鈥檝e both calmed down for each other. Now, they鈥檙e just loving up and enjoying each other鈥檚 company. Really sweet.聽

It’s Ultimate Love Day 44. For the third time in seven weeks, Bolanle and Arnold are back in the . But away from that, let’s talk about those “Oh no sweetie, what are you doing” moments we’ve had in the Love Pad.

1. Let’s start with Presh, a bold queen that wasn’t going to let go of her man without a fight.

By the time she got into the the house, which was five days after the show started, her love interest, David Wilson already had a thing going with Rosie, but Presh would rather die than give up without trying to get her man back. She spoke to Rosie about it, then went ahead to pick David as her first choice. This was when I knew I had to stan this go-getting queen.

2. That time Rosie revealed that she ditched plan B and wrote David’s name three time.

This didn’t just made me scream, it also made me cringe to death. Rosie, like every other love guest was advised to , but she cancelled Christmas on her other options and picked David’s name thrice. LMAOO this babe really tried it, because, how could you leave your house to find love (read husband), then decided to die on one person’s matter after four working days, as if you already exchanged vows with him?

3. That time Uche asked to check out a few minutes after being paired with Chris

Because Uche didn’t get any of his three choices, he had to couple up Chris, someone he wasn’t feeling. Tell me why this guy asked to check out less than 30 minutes after agreeing to be Chris’ partner? Anyway, he was allowed to check out the next day, but we will never forgive him for embarrassing Chris.

4. That time Obi left Chris for Ebi after a lot of tears, praying, and fasting.

fasted and prayed her way into being picked by Obi, Chris’ old love interest. But you really can’t be mad at Ebi, a sis did what had to be done, in other to get a man.

5. That time Nkechi held Jerry’s hands as if she even considered him – when she had just Jay on her mind.

Remember that a lot us wanted Nkechi and Jerry as a couple, but they both disappointed us. We were all ready to throw hands and shoes at Nkechi when Dakore announced her and Jay as a couple, because this babe had the nerve to sit beside Jerry and held his hand, as if she picked him three times like Rosie did with David.

May God forgive Nkechi, because that babe really sold us dreams.

7. That time Arnold referred to Bola as his task, while speaking to his ex. 

Arnold’s ex – well not exactly an ex since he said they have an unfinished business, paid him an unexpected visit in the house, and that was the moment he told his ex and viewers that Bolanle is just a task to him in the house. I mean, we know he’s not exactly into Bolanle like she is, but referring to her as a task tho?

Everything that happened on Ultimate Love Day 43

It’s was a double check out at the live show on Day 43. Aside JayKech leaving, as most expected, Aunty surprisingly checked out as well. It was quite an emotinal night, but the game must go on.

Unfortunately, Jay didn鈥檛 get his pound of flesh:

Told y鈥檃ll Jay spent the whole of yesterday scheming and plotting on how to hit the people who nominated him back. Anyway, he was checked out few minutes before the nomination process. God don鈥檛 like ugly bro, he doesn’t. Good thing is they left with five hundred thousand Naira and some gifts in their Portmanteau to share.

Aunty officially checked out too:

I don鈥檛 know if it鈥檚 COVID19 related or just how the show was scripted but Aunty said her final goodbyes to the couples and viewers last night.

It was quite emotional but Aunty had to practice social distancing and didn’t allow any of them hug or touch her. Those ones don鈥檛 know it鈥檚 because of the pandemic that鈥檚 in town, they probably think Aunty is forming hard babe.

Chivia and Bolar are the first couple to make it to final week!聽

All the Couples except Chivia and Bolar are up for possible check out this week, as they both have one nomination each. No Monday Mission this week, so magnanimous Aunty won鈥檛 be saving any couple. Voting lines also opened two days earlier than usual.聽

Everyone lives happily ever after, or this is just temporary?

Aunty鈥檚 final speech probably reminded them of why they left their houses for the love pad and they they now realize that they鈥檝e wasted precious time on irrelevant things like gossiping and discussing nominations. Presh and Rosie cried and hugged the bad energy away, because clearly, they鈥檝e both been foolish for too long. Fighting and keeping malice because of David and his 7 dread locs. Girls, really?

The day ended with them eating, drinking, spending time with their loved ones in the Jacuzzi, and Arnold doing what he knows how to do best – Slander Bolanle, his partner.

When will a guy do something nice for their babe in that house?

God when? Your daughters are deserving of surprise dates too, uno? Bolanle, with the help of EbiObi and Iyke planned a dinner date to surprise Bola鈥檚 man, Arnold.聽Arnold was caught off-guard, especially with the questions Bolanle asked him concerning the future of their relationship. Sometimes, I feel like Bolanle is alone in that relationship, but time will tell.

The weekly task took the Love Guests to Kano

The love guest presented their weekly task by showcasing the rich culture of Kano. Their dressing, language, music, food, and art were showcased.

Can two couples leave the love pad this night?

It’s two weeks until finale and we still have eight couples in the Love Pad, and that’s a lot, if you ask me. I’m hoping two couples would leave today, two couple next week, then we can have our final four couples for the final week. JayKech and DoubleChris can bounce today sha. JayKech especially, in case God is listening and it’s just one couple leaving the pad tonight.

The Love Guests have been in the Love Pad for 41 days! Whew! Times flies when you’re doing nothing but eat free food, discuss nomination, and spend quality time with your bae oh. Must be really nice.

Sylvia and Chiddy finally get their private time.

PreshDavid won the couple’s task for the week and it won them the love nest for the second time, but they decided to give it to another couple who might be interested in having their private time. DoubleChris and JayKech said they didn’t need it, but Chivia eventually got it after Chiddy asked for it.

As usual, the ladies in the Love Pad are the lives of the party.

If you look beyond their outfits that’s not patrte after parte worthy, the ladies sure know how to have a good time. Even though Presh just suddenly stopped entertaining us at the parties, Rosie, Sylvia, Ebi, and Bolanle have proven to be up to the task of keeping us entertained.

Jay really had a wild night. Peradventure, it’s his last party in the love pad?

Never seen Jay dance like that at their parties, so I’ll just take that as his final party. He had so much fun dancing, he even stripped down to his shorts after being tipsy. Nkechi wasn’t impressed though. She cried herself to sleep, probably thinking of how to present the drunk to her strict father. My advice? Dump him, sis!

It’s been 40 days in the Love Pad. Whew! The Love Guests are getting more paranoid and the race for the Ultimate Couple is getting messier. A lot has happened leading to Ultimate Love Day 40, but let’s take it one by one:

Let’s start with Jay who can dish but can鈥檛 take:

Following Bolar nominating Jay for eviction, Arnold has been making snide remarks, saying he鈥檚 going to miss Jay if JayKech leaves on Sunday. That statement, coupled with possible eviction stress is getting to Jay really bad, and he reported Arnold to Aunty.

Grown men refused to sit down and settle dispute:

Despite Aunty insisting that they both sit down like adults and talk about their differences, they both decided to stay away from each other. Must be the ego thing. Some love guests tried making them sit together and talk, but the two egunguns are staying away from the express to avoid motor jam. 

Finally, a how well do you know your couples game:

It was games night in the Love Pad, and for this first time, there was a fun “how well do you know your partner” game for the couples to play. won by answering all ten questions correctly.

At least on Ultimate Love Day 40, we now know which couple is ready for marriage.

Who鈥檚 getting smoked at the party this night?

It鈥檚 another Friday night and aside the party, someone鈥檚 ex might be invited to fuck shut up again. I pray it鈥檚 Jay, he鈥檚 been expecting his ex to pay him a surprise visit. We鈥檒l find out soon.聽
