The business which is based in San Francisco in the U.S of A is called Whoopi and Maya and is founded by the veteran actress and Maya Elisabeth, the founder of , a company that鈥檚 been treating marijuana as a superfood since 2008.
The Whoopi & Maya line聽will be in four forms.
鈥 A raw sipping chocolate infused with either CBD* or THC*, which can be mixed in liquids (such as warm milk) or eaten.
鈥 THC-infused tincture.
鈥 A THC-infused bath soak described as 鈥減rofoundly relaxing.鈥
鈥 A topical rub.
THC means 鈥渢etrahydrocannabinol鈥 and CBD means 鈥渃annabidiol鈥.
Whoopi hopes her products will provide 鈥渁n alternative for relieving the pain and discomfort associated with menstruation.鈥
The weed line was inspired by her聽experience from a lifetime of difficult periods and cannabis literally being the only thing that gave her聽relief.
According to Whoopi this line will allow women to control the pain and still go about their business.
She says that, 鈥Smoking a joint is fine, but most people can鈥檛 smoke a joint and go to work.聽This, you can put it in your purse. You can put the rub on your lower stomach and lower back at work, and then when you get home you can get in the tub for a soak or make tea, and it allows you to continue to work throughout the day.鈥
The products聽will be available in U.S聽from April in select dispensaries.
