Whenever an A-list celebrity gets married, the world stops, and everyone is in attendance. The love isn’t just in the air. It is also trending on social media, making headlines, and fueling heated comment section debates.
On Sunday, Davido tied the knot with his long-time partner Chioma in an intimate event in Miami. Though our invite, which we had on good authority, got lost in the mail (wink-wink), we can only imagine what it must have been like to be present at the event.
Anyways, we asked 10 Nigerians which celebrity wedding they would have paid to attend. Here is what they had to say.
Olivia
Couple: Adesua & Banky W
Wedding Hashtag: #BAAD2017
Willing to Pay: 鈧100,000

Watching Adesua and Banky in The Wedding Party influenced my sentiments, but I would have paid, even if they鈥檇 said a ticket sold for 鈧100,000, to attend her wedding, regardless of who she’s marrying.
Adesua went all out to make their day beautiful. I love her circle of friends, too. I don’t mind being a part of it or meeting them. Secondly, Adesua looks like she’ll be intentional about the food. I love food. I follow her, and I know she loves food, too.
But no matter how good the food is, I’ll never miss the dance and cake-sharing moments, and the opportunity to network. My heels wouldn’t be too high, but my gele will touch the ceiling. My corset and make-up would be on fleek, too. If I鈥檓 seated next to Adesua and Bisola Aiyeola, who I really love around her, I鈥檓 fulfilled for life.
Mikun
Couple: Teebillz & Tiwa Savage
Hashtag: #Tiwabills
Willing to Pay: 鈧100,000
Mine is a bit problematic because they are no longer together, but it鈥檚 Teebillz and Tiwa Savage鈥檚 wedding. I was deeply invested because the OG romance babe who gave me and my sister so many romantic songs to hold dear was finally getting married. HipTV was in Dubai for the wedding, and thankfully, they were able to take the online in-laws along. I loved the decoration. If I could buy a ticket to be there in person, even a 鈧100,000 fee would be a non-issue.
Seeing how beautiful the setup was made me want a garden wedding, too. They also had these super cool chairs that looked like they were made of glass. Tiwa looked like a bride through and through. She just looked so in love, and I only wished to attend to see the glow in person. It鈥檚 sad that things ended the way they did, but I pray she falls in love again and gets to experience that bridal glow again.

Couple: Rita Dominic & Fidelis Anosike
Hashtag: #ReelDeel22
Willing to Pay: 鈧200,000
Oh my God, it鈥檚 Rita Dominic’s wedding. It looked like the absolute party: all my faves were there, and Rita Dominic was getting married! The fits were gorgeous, and from the videos, it looked like the DJ knew what he was doing. A blast that I鈥檇 love to be part of. If they had wedding tickets and sold for 鈧200,000 that I鈥檓 not using, trust me, I鈥檇 be there.
Titi
Couple: Stephanie Okerede & Linus Idahosa
Willing to Pay: 鈧1,000,000
I would have paid to attend Stephenie Okereke鈥檚 wedding. I was 12, and knowing she was getting married to a rich, fine man was just the stuff of dreams. I remember how people talked about it, how the newspapers carried it, and how beautiful it looked. That wedding was everywhere. Everyone talked about it.
Stephanie is also very beautiful. I liked her so much then that knowing she was getting married was like, ” Oh yes, my favourite actor is getting married.鈥
One thing about Nigerian weddings or events in general is that chaos is one of our ingredients. There is always noise and disorganisation, but this wedding was so calm. It was serene. It was like gentle love. No stress, no noise, just two loving people in a calm atmosphere exchanging vows. I wanted to be there. To be part of that rich, calm, gentle love. No push, no shove, no stress. Just mutual love and respect and quiet money.
Then, she posted one yacht video sometime in April this year, I almost lost my mind. I was like, 鈥淲TF? Please, put me here.鈥
Chigor
Couple: Johnny Drille & Rima Tahini
Hashtag: #CountMyBlessings
Willing to Pay: 鈧100,000
I鈥檓 not crazy about celebrity Nigerian weddings like that because they turn out to be razz a lot of the time. But the one I鈥檇 have paid to attend is Johnny Drille鈥檚 wedding, and that鈥檚 mostly because it came out of nowhere. I didn鈥檛 even know he was dating. I just saw him one day announcing he had gotten married. The wedding must have been chill too, and that鈥檚 completely my vibe.
I would have loved to hear how he met his wife, hear him sing (live) and just take in the gorgeousness of that calibre of wedding without the usual loudness associated with most celebrity weddings. Just peeking into that circle actually would be nice. Johnny Drille is amazing, and I bet his circle is too.
It鈥檚 a long shot, but I鈥檇 have paid to attend with hopes of getting into the circle of his cool non-musician friends. I just know he鈥檚 a cool person. I鈥檓 just a 9-5 babe, but I would have paid 鈧100,000. That’s the highest amount I can go, though.
Abass
Couple: Mr Eazi & Temi Otedola
Willing to Pay: At least $250
I would want to be there to witness the union of Mr Eazi and Temi Otedola鈥檚 love. Theirs looks true, warm, beautiful, kind and something anyone would want to be a part of. Right from the start, their love has been calm and gentle. Just to be there, I’d pay $250 or more, depending on their starting price.
Pauline
Couple: Priscilla Ojo & Juma Jux
Hashtag: #JP2025
Willing to Pay: 鈧50,000
I鈥檇 pay at least 鈧50,000 to be at Priscilla Ojo鈥檚 wedding because she shows up for people around her, which indicates that she has a sweet personality. But my major aim there would be to make connections with people that鈥檒l add value to my career and business.
Tiana
Couple: Kene Jackson & Ugo Ekule
Hashtag: #Kego25
Willing to Pay: 鈧200,000
The wedding happened in the East and it felt like a destination wedding. The location was a resort and each guest had an allocated area. The wedding was loud too, from the bride being carried to the reception on the shoulders of four muscular men to singer Flavour performing. The wedding also had a lot of dignitaries, and I鈥檇 pay 鈧200,000 to be there. I think that’s a fair price for the food, the connection and the views of the location.
Dele
Couple: Wale 鈥淭ec鈥 Davies & Susiear
Willing to Pay: 鈧500,000
After hearing Tec of Show Dem Camp rap about a lot of 鈥減ies鈥 (AKA babes) and his experiences as a Lagos bachelor in music for so many years, I couldn’t believe that egbon finally married. Some pictures and video clips from the wedding, which happened in the UK, made me curious about how lit it must have been.
As a listener of Tec and Show Dem Camp, I have observed that he is a big baller who likes to do things on a lowkey. But I also know that keeping things on the low doesn’t mean cheap. You see, the lifestyle of minimalism with liquid wealth is my type, and he鈥檚 kind of living that life. I know Tec is not the kind of person to bring large amounts of attention to his special intimate moment, but being in a personal setting like that, which isn’t about his music or music business, with all sorts of cool people from Nigeria and other parts of the world would have been a great experience. I don’t mind dropping 鈧500,000 just to attend his wedding.
Adaora
Couple: Dinma Umeh & Obinma Ifeanyi
Hashtag: #ForeverWeDo24
Willing to Pay: 鈧5,000

I love Dimma Umeh. I am a huge fan and I鈥檝e been watching her on YouTube for as long as I can remember. If I could, I鈥檇 have paid (though nothing more than 鈧5,000) to be at her wedding. It would have been the perfect opportunity to meet her in person and also connect with Jola Ayeye and FK Abudu in a more personal setting, since they were in attendance too.
