    In pop culture today, self-care seems like this vague, expensive thing to practice but in reality, self-care is anything you do to take care of yourself physically, financially and emotionally. In this article, we list 10 ways to practice self-care as women. 

    1. Drinking water聽

    Drinking water helps you stay hydrated. A dehydrated babe is a moody, unhealthy babe. It is recommended that the average person drinks every day.

    2. Blocking and muting聽

    Blocking or muting someone on social media is a form of boundary setting and it鈥檚 okay to decide that you don鈥檛 want to consume certain content. That鈥檚 you looking out for yourself.

    3. Taking screen breaks聽

    It鈥檚 not news that social media can be bad for a person鈥檚 mental health so whenever you can, try to take a screen break. Your eyes and your mental health will thank you.

    4. Alone time聽

    Taking time out for yourself is one of the commonest ways to treat yourself, you can decide to go out alone or stay indoors and watch a movie, or just look at the ceiling while ignoring everyone else. Na you get yourself.

    Pap smears are screening procedures to check for cervical cancer. It is recommended that should get pap smears every three years.

    Not letting yourself feel the emotions you are feeling, especially when they are negative can build resentment and spill into other areas of your life. If you have difficulty with this, therapy may be necessary. 

    10.聽Practising safe sex聽

    Yes and yes. Avoiding sexually transmitted infections will save you , not to mention the mental and physical stress. Get tested as frequently as you can and use protection always.聽
