We would accuse them (some more) of having misplaced priorities, but their connections and relations were always so entertaining, and sometimes, they had us screaming, 鈥淕od When?鈥�. 

Angel and Soma

They got into the house, took one look at each other, and decided they had found their missing rib. Granted, their village people called on them every Wednesday and Saturday, trying to put asunder what Big Brother had joined together, but they failed. One year later, Biggie鈥檚 favourite child is still going strong with her favourite man.

Erica and Kiddwaya

Before Kiddwaya walked into the BBNaija All Stars house and acted like a fool, he was in the Lockdown house, playing lover boy and attending to star girl Erica鈥檚 needs. They were cute and went around the house tormenting everyone with their love.

Uriel and Neo

We know their ship never got to leave the shore. As a matter of fact, we don鈥檛 even think they ever got on board this ship, but their chemistry was insane, and we are mourning what could鈥檝e been.

Mercy and Ike

They gave us Amerigbo gangsta love when all we had in Biggie鈥檚 house was commotion and fights. Did they add to these fights? Yes, but at least they did it together, as a team in love.

BamBam and Teddy A

While Cee-C, Tobi, and Biggie鈥檚 other children were causing chaos and scattering his house, BamBam and Teddy A were falling madly in love. We knew their love was real when Teddy A wept his eyes out after BamBam鈥檚 eviction, left the house the very next day, and ended up getting married and having children together.

Nini and Saga

Saga spent all his days and nights in Big Brother鈥檚 house chasing Nini, showing and professing his undying love for her. She never returned his feelings, but they became close friends and spent their time in the house taking care of each other.

Angel and Big Brother

We鈥檝e always known Big Brother has favourites. Every season, someone walks into the house, and it鈥檚 clear that Biggie has brought in his favourite child, but Angel is the fairest of all of his children, past, present, and future. From their banter to the gentle way he speaks to her and the harsh way he deals with her opps, the Angel and Biggie ship is the ship of all Big Brother ships.

Eric and indomie

Eric walked into the house with one mission and one mission only: to finish Big Brother鈥檚 food, specifically the indomie. He was in Biggie鈥檚 house for one week, but during that week, he made sure a bowl of indomie went with him everywhere he went. We鈥檙e surprised his love interest, Lilo, didn鈥檛 get jealous and tell him to put the bowl down and focus on her because she should have.

Yvonne and Juicy Jay

We don鈥檛 think anyone has ever played the Big Brother game like it was Love Island the way these two did. From Juicy Jay鈥檚 Ipeleng, Jenni O, Yvonne square, to the cookie exchange love confession, to their alcohol-induced fight. Yvonne and Juicy Jay walked into Biggie鈥檚 house, saw each other, and forgot their was money to be won.

8. Big Brother Nigeria: Season 1 (2006)

This was the first season of the reality show that aired on TV. Most people didn鈥檛 have any expectations of what the house should look like.

7. See Gobe (2017)

From the geometric-themed wallpapers to the leather sofa, something about this house interior deeply unsettled the housemates, which might explain why it鈥檚 one of the hottest BBNaija seasons.

6. Double Wahala House (2018)

This season had some of the most chaotic fights and disqualifications in BBNaija history, and we blame it on the clash of colours in the house decor.

5. All Stars House (2023)

Big Brother clearly didn鈥檛 care much about his All Stars participants because the interior design in this season was awful. The dull colours and dimly lit rooms didn鈥檛 spark any excitement.

4. Pepper Dem House (2019)

One thing was clear when Big Brother opened the doors to the Pepper Dem house: there was a bigger budget for interior decor.

3. Shine Ya Eyes House (2021)

The interior designers must have taken a page from the Double Wahala house decor because there were so many colours everywhere. To make matters worse, the house had a jungle-themed room.

2. Lockdown House (2020)

The Lockdown season had the cutest outdoor garden in BBNaija history. The organisers also spent a lot of time getting the house properly lit.

If you can ignore the atrocity that was committed in Level 2, AKA 鈥淭renches鈥�, you鈥檒l understand why this house made it this far down the list. While organisers did everything to make one section of the house miserable, Level 1 was a breath of fresh air.

But what happens when a housemate leaves the show and either chooses to disappear or simply fails to hold our attention as an audience? Igho Karen 

Karen was the real bad bitch. Funny, audacious, and five seconds away from showing you craze. She walked so that housemates like CeeC, Tasha and Phyna could run. 

After emerging as the first female winner of the Big Brother Africa show in 2011, she made a few appearances on some Nollywood shows, popped up in and hosted a radio programme on Naija FM. She also had a . While Karen may have left our minds, she’s maintained her presence on social media and recently appeared in an episode of , a sequel to Sex and The City.听

Katung Aduwak

Katung was a contestant on the first season of Big Brother Nigeria in 2006. While Ebuka has become a celebrity sweetheart and fashion icon now, he lost to Katung Aduwak in BBN 1 back in the day. After winning the $100k prize, Katung went to a film school, taking a more behind-the-scenes approach to the spotlight. Since then, he鈥檚 directed a few short films, and become and public speaker. His most recent project is a masterclass on becoming a reality star.听

Michael Efe

Michael Efe, known as Efemoney, went into the Big Brother house looking to blow. His strategy was his musical talent, poverty sob stories about drinking garri without sugar every day and his life in Warri. These were enough for Nigerians to vote for him as their winner of the See Gobe season of Big Brother Naija.

Efemoney went straight from the Big Brother house to the studio, but Nigerians were quick to turn their attention from him once they realised his songs didn鈥檛 slap like that. That hasn鈥檛 stopped Efemoney because he’s still in the music business, and recently released an EP, .听

Miracle Igbokwe Ikechuckwu

Even though Miracle won Big Brother Naija: Double Wahala in 2018, it was pretty evident the pilot and model had no desire to remain in the entertainment business. After the show, he went back to aviation school and graduated a year later. Since then, he’s focused on being a pilot and scarcely updates his social media posts. Miracle really won and said, 鈥淎ired, dfkm鈥� to the Nigerian entertainment scene.听

Ezekiel Bright Osemudiamen

Brighto may not have made it to the top five, but his impact during the Lockdown season of BBN was felt. The audience couldn’t choose which version of Brighto they liked more: The one that made semo at midnight like a thief or the Chiwetalu Agu-inspired one that kept pitting housemates against each other.听Since he left the house in 2020, he’s started a car dealership business, Lord B Autos, and occasionally features in comedy skits on Instagram.听

Olamilekan Agbeleshebioba

Laycon didn’t just win BBNaija season 5, he won the hearts of Nigerians with his grass-to-grace story and display of intelligence. Like Efemoney, this artist was in the house to build his brand and amass recognition, which he succeeded in doing because his fans were streaming his songs while he was still in the house.听

Three years later, it seems his fame from the show is dwindling because even though he’s still very much in the music industry, there’s hardly any buzz around his music. The most recent mention of him is the MA he’s since received from Portsmouth University.听

This fight wasn鈥檛 it. First off, it鈥檚 a shouting match. Secondly, we don鈥檛 stand for beautiful girls stressing themselves over men.

Whitemoney vs Pere from BBN Shine Ya Eye

This fight had potential, but it started and ended too quickly. Also, the fight was more like public disrespect taken too far.

Miracle OP and Yemi Cregx鈥檚 fight from Big Brother Titans

We鈥檙e not too sure about this fight. People started holding them before anything could even happen. It was giving 鈥淗old me make I no wound person鈥� when in actuality, they can鈥檛 squash a bug.

Rating: 3/10

This BBA fight everyone keeps talking about聽

A bit too aggressive for us because why were people moving around with knives and throwing things in each other’s faces?

Rating: 4/10

Another day, another Neo and Vee food fight from BBN Lockdown聽

The best thing about this fight has to be Vee telling Neo 鈥淥 pe o funny鈥�. But seeing as this was simply one of their food fights, and it didn鈥檛 give as much as it could have, it has zero rewatch value.

Rating: 6/10

Erica and Wathoni from BBN Lockdown聽

This fight went on for longer than it should have. It started with potential, then the plot got lost somewhere along the way. 

Rating: 6.5/10

The prank fight from Big Brother Titans

Big Brother鈥檚 new children have the mind of a thousand armies. Past housemates tried their best to avoid fights. This set went out of their way to plan a fight, recruit actors, an SFX makeup artist and a director, all without Big Brother鈥檚 permission. They used the underlying issues in the house to plan their play, WHICH was creative. They also caused chaos on Big Brother Twitter, so extra points for that. 

Rating: 8/10 

Angel and Boma鈥檚 鈥淚 senior you鈥� fight from BBN Shine Ya Eye

We loved the build-up from a calm explanation in English to raised voices in pidgin. Things were said, points were made.

Rating: 9.5/10

Khosi/Miracle vs Nana/Jenni O from BBTitans

This might just be the funniest fight in Big Brother history. From Nana鈥檚 high kick to Khosi鈥檚 almost escape from Miracle鈥檚 hold, it gave all it was supposed to.

Rating: 9.5/10

Bisola and TBoss鈥檚 breakfast battle from See Gobbe

The build-up was insane 鈥� no talk of beating anyone up and a sprinkle of tears in the right places. It was an absolutely beautiful fight.

Rating: 10/10

Here are seven ways to still ship your stubborn faves even when they haven鈥檛 figured out their feelings for each other.

Be delusional

It鈥檚 the best way to live life. If your ship have refused to open their eyes to see the good thing Big Brother has placed in front of them, that has nothing to do with you. Continue staring at your screen with love-struck eyes.

Make fan cams

The only thing better than watching your ship exchange quick glances and shy smiles in real-time is watching a recording of it over and over again. Trust us, we know this. 

Vote for them聽

While you鈥檙e planning for money bouquets and hampers, don鈥檛 forget to vote for your ship. If they leave the house now, who would you aww at? How would they eventually become a thing? 

Defend until you鈥檙e tired

Don鈥檛 let anybody shame you or your ship, please. If they are cute, they are cute.

Turn a blind eye to their rubbish

The chances of one or both members of your ship acting like the bottom of a pot are high. When they do this it鈥檒l be best to put on your rose colored glasses and ignore the bad character they鈥檙e exhibiting in front of the world.

Be rich

This is the most important because how are you a shipper without money? Who鈥檒l vote to save your ship? Who鈥檒l spoil them when they leave the house? 

Beg them

While you go about shipping in full force, don鈥檛 forget to beg your ship to actually begin their romance, so they don鈥檛 make a mockery of you in the streets.

Here are all the ways the housemates moved like they were in competition with Judas Iscariot.

Yemi, the faithful聽

After Ebuka鈥檚 grilling and table shaking on Sunday, Yemi Cregx stepped into the new week as a changed man. He made a whole show of breaking things off with Blue Aiva and sticking to Khosi. We think this is only temporary because two days later, the whole world saw Blue and Yemi share lingering looks and touches.

Love is in the air

The boys, led by a lovestruck Juicy Jay, planned and executed a Valentine鈥檚 Day breakfast for the girls, and it was the cutest thing the show鈥檚 seen since the week before when Juicy Jay sang songs of love to his baby, Yvonne. 

Big Brother took a cue from the breakfast and treated the housemates to a three-hour-long dinner, where they professed love for each other. But trust Kanaga Jr to say all the wrong things in all the wrong ways, like calling his kissing buddy a rat. 

Miracle, you again?

Miracle has made up his mind to treat Big Brother鈥檚 house as his personal fighting ground. He鈥檚 gone from actual verbal fights with Jennie O and Khosi to throwing subtle jabs at Yemi Cregx in the name of defending Khosi鈥檚 womanhood. He needs to give it a break because he鈥檚 already doing the most.

The great divide and reunion聽

It was the week of love, but Biggie thought it right to put a divide between the lovers, triangles and squares, by separating the boys from the girls and insisting they don鈥檛 interact with each other. It lasted for two days, and the house was boring AF. So we just want to make a formal appeal to Big Brother to not do it again. We need our ships to survive, please.

鈥淭alk your talk鈥� podcast

The housemates seem to have found a new way to resolve their issues: a roundtable discussion led by at least two other people with issues of their own, who think they can solve other people鈥檚 problems. The podcasts might not work a hundred percent, but they鈥檙e incredibly entertaining and messy.

The Thabang problem聽

Thabang put too much on his plate, and now, all his chicks have come home to roost, literally. He shared a steamy kiss with Nelissa that carried on through the night until she stepped out of his bed for a quick bathroom break, and Khosi came in to take her place. Yemi Cregx carried the matter on his head; he warned Thabang to take Nelissa more seriously and leave Khosi alone. 

Bye Maya

Maya have finally left the Big Brother House after sailing through two evictions and carrying Kanaga Jr鈥檚 name around the house like he stole a phone at computer village.

But there are at least ten other ships in the house that are actually giving, and this list proves it.

Yaya and Marvin

First off, they look GREAT together. But can Marvin get himself together and stop letting Yaya鈥檚 efforts go to waste? We need them to fully enter their 鈥渕arried couple of the house鈥� era.

Tsatsii and Thabang

They look and act like siblings. And it鈥檚 a wonderful reprieve from the 鈥渕e and mine鈥� fest the house has become.

Nana and Thabang

Let鈥檚 start with their never-declining face cards. These two are a beauty to behold, and it doesn鈥檛 hurt that they speak of each other with utmost adoration.

Kanaga Jr and Yvonne

We鈥檙e here for the vibe they catch once the beat drops.

Ipeleng and Miracle

Because they look good together, and we need Ipeleng to find another man so she can keep Yvonne’s name out of her mouth.

Yvonne and Juicy Jay

After Juicy Jay sang and publicly declared his feelings for his sweetheart, we need Biggie鈥檚 cameras to follow them and their PDA all over the house.

Nelisa and Yemi Cregx

Yemi Cregx looks and acts like Nelisa鈥檚 older brother 鈥� her personal clearing and forwarding agent 鈥� and it鈥檚 the cutest thing in Biggie鈥檚 house. You can鈥檛 talk on Nelisa鈥檚 name when he鈥檚 around.

Kanaga Jr and Tsatsii

With Kanaga Jr鈥檚 鈥測ou look better without makeup鈥� compliment last night, and Tsatsii putting Kanaga and his partner up for eviction two weeks in a row, things look suspicious with these two. But we can鈥檛 deny how cute they are together.

Blaqboi and Blue Aiva

Blue Aiva鈥檚 desire to play three men aside, she and Blaqboi look nice together. It鈥檚 always a swell time watching her whisper sweet nothings into his ear.

Kanaga Jr and Yemi Cregx聽

Kanaga Jr is ever ready to defend Yemi鈥檚 philandering ways, and it鈥檚 giving besties.

Olivia and Yvonne

Best in sis-mance and news reporting. Not only do they deliver gist like they live, breathe and eat it, these two openly care for each other, and it鈥檚 the sweetest thing.

Juicy Jay and Olivia

Might be the way they hype each other up, might be their obvious adoration for each other. Whatever it is, Juicy Jay and Olivia make us want to laugh, cry, and sometimes, bury our heads in the sand. They鈥檙e the ultimate pair.

The pilot season of Big Brother Titans started four weeks ago. Honestly, it should have come with a warning because Big Brother and his dual nationality children are already causing heart palpitations and giving us the best of everything. From K drama-style romance to Africa magic epic dramas, WWE fights, and love triangles Zee world would be jealous of, the titans are serving it all.

But because we are messy people, we need Big Brother to amp up the drama in his house and what better way to do it than with these eight things

Movie night 

Biggie, you know that we know that you know half your housemates want to fight each other. All we ask is that you be a nice big brother and let them sort their issues out. Make them dress up all nice and pretty, lay out light finger snacks and some hard liquor, then make them sit down and watch their conversations. We need Nelissa to hear what Thabang really thinks about her, Yaya has to see Marvin chatting about her from the corner of his mouth and Yemi Cregx needs to see Khosi鈥檚 numerous attempts to kiss Thabang.

Split the house

You know what they say, divide and conquer, split the housemates according to their messiness and situationships. Move Kanaga, Yvonne and Miracle to a house without Juicy Jay and leave Tsatsii with Blaqboi and Marvin since they won鈥檛 stop thinking they have a chance with her. Big Brother take risk, take risk and succeed.

Bring back old housemates

Biggie please bring back the people you鈥檝e already let out of your house. By this, we mean Sandra and Mmeli, because Sandra鈥檚 promised to give Mmeli and Nelissa woto woto and that can’t happen outside your house, we want to see it.

Ship diary sessions

What we need from Big Brother is to fuel the delusion in that house. People need to continue feeling like they鈥檙e in a proper triangle, and what better way to do this than for their big brother to acknowledge it.

Bring in Khosi鈥檚 boyfriend

It鈥檚 a simple request; you don鈥檛 have to make it obvious. Bring in people for the other housemates too. As long as Khosi鈥檚 boyfriend comes in there, scatters everywhere and puts the fear of the Lord in Yemi Cregx and Miracle, we鈥檒l be fine.

Switch up pairs and make them sleep on the same bed

Big brother, make Ipuleng and Juicy Jay a pair, give Yemi Cregx to Blue Aiva and watch the foundations of your house shake.

Give them all phones and show them one gossip tweet every week

We need Olivia to see this tweet so she can fully unleash on Blue Aiva and Thabang.

Go the purge on the housemates and allow anything for a day

As long as they leave their mics on and they don鈥檛 destroy your cameras, Biggie, please let them do as they wish. You might have to keep an ambulance on stand-by though, because, between Yemi Cregx and Miracle, and Khosi and Blue Aiva, somebody鈥檚 going to end up with a broken head.

At the beginning of week four, Yvonne got disqualified from the head-of-house games for stepping on a line, and spent the week wearing a tail and sewing pillows. Meanwhile, Ipuleng breaks the same rule during the Friday games and wins a thousand dollars? 

Favour over labour

Khoyemi, please

It鈥檚 always something with these people. Where do we start? Yemi鈥檚 still kissing Blue Aiva behind Khosi鈥檚 back, while Khosi鈥檚 flirting with Thabang all over the house. Then instead of them to do ojoro cancel, Khosi Twala went on bended knees and tried to apologise to Yemi. It took a point off the city girl scoreboard, but we鈥檒l live.

Mmeli the scorned 

Sometimes, honesty is not the best policy. Because if Olivia had kept her feelings for Mmeli and Thabang to herself, maybe Mmeli won鈥檛 have gone round the house dragging Olivia鈥檚 name in the mud. He was acting like she鈥檇 picked his heart out of his chest and shattered it simply because she looked at Thabang鈥檚 face when he interrupted their conversation.

Ebuka, the breaker of tables and ships 

Obviously, Ebuka saw . He went into the house on Sunday night and revealed EVERYTHING. From Yemi and Blue Aiva鈥檚 midnight kisses to Khosi and Thabang鈥檚 fake siblingship to Yaya and Marvin鈥檚 weird partnership. 

Thalissa 

After Ebuka鈥檚 eviction show revelations, Thalissa seem to have understood each other, choosing to move forward with their situation.

Mmelivia, the ship we never got 

After the mess Mmeli dragged Olivia into on Saturday night because she paid a little attention to Thabang, we won鈥檛 lie and say we鈥檙e not happy this ship never sailed.

The couples fight

Between Juicy Jay and Yvonne鈥檚 ridiculous five-minute fight on Saturday and Kanaga Jr and Tsatsii鈥檚 five-second fight on Sunday, we need all the couples in the house to shift to one side so we can see road. Because why are they turning the house upside down with their spats if they鈥檒l still reconcile before the day is over?

Jenneli exit

Goodbye Mmeli and Jenni O. The evil you鈥檝e done is enough. Mmeli rubbished Nelissa and Olivia because they kept their options open, and Jenni O never kept Juicy Jay and Yvonne鈥檚 relationship out of her mouth, so their exit is much appreciated.

We get that you only choose the most dramatic people ever to enter the house. But these new housemates are a different breed. They spend every second of every day acting like an unseen force is moving them, and we need to know what exactly is going on.

Throughout the week, we鈥檝e seen fights, secondary school love, romantic declarations, hospital visits and dramatic returns.

Here鈥檚 a recap of every chaotic thing that happened this week.

Jenny and Nana vs Khosi and Miracle聽

After a week of enduring Nana鈥檚 snide remarks, Khosi decided the best way to sort out their issues was to fight it out. But Jenni, Nana鈥檚 in-house big sister, said over her living, breathing body and went all Hulk Hogan on Khosi and everyone (Miracle) who tried to standup for her.

Juvonne are tails of the house鈥� AGAIN

At this point, Biggie might as well dash that tail to Justin and Yvonne because they鈥檝e been wearing it for three weeks straight.

A general warning?

It looks like he鈥檚 getting soft because the Biggie we all know would鈥檝e sent somebody packing after the multiple infringements and broken rules during the Jenna vs Khosicle battle.

Juiovla, the hot cake聽

The partners seem to be bubbling like hot stew. 

After shaking the foundation of Biggie鈥檚 house with his public declaration of love to Yvonne, Juicy Jay seems to be in demand. Because Ipuleng and Jenni O have remembered how close they used to be with Juicy Jay and would like to continue their friendship.

On the other hand, Olivia is stuck between two men. Her casual talks with her crush, Thabang, are happening more often now, and Mmeli鈥檚 swapped beds with Yvonne just to be close to her.

Yemi, there鈥檚 no monopoly of madness

The association of Yemi鈥檚 wives 鈥� Blue Aiva and Khosi 鈥� seem to have finally gotten the memo. If he won鈥檛 make his choice, they don鈥檛 have to either. They鈥檝e gone around the house Yemi style, flirting and frolicking with whomever they please. 

Khosi and Thabang, her brother

These two need to figure out what they鈥檙e doing. We get playing the game and doing your thing in the house, but if you want to go about calling someone your sibling, the least you can do is tuck your feelings for them away and not try to kiss them.

We won鈥檛 lie and say we鈥檙e looking forward to the weekend. The game just started, and key players might be kicked out before we get to see the end of some things, like who would Thabang choose? And how long do we have to wait for Jenni O and Miracle to fight directly?
